BHRAMANANTHU

Bhramananthu Oil, a gifted formulation specifically prepared as per the Tailapaka vidhi in Ayurveda and is processed with herbs possessing extensive neuroprotective, anxiolytic, and tranquilising properties.

It works wonders and has been proven to be effective in the management of Vertigo, Giddiness, Imbalance of ears and Insomnia.

Bhramananthu Oil stands unique in its ability to manage stress. It helps people in combating the physiological and psycho-social stress through a positive effect on their neural pathways. It protects the organs and tissues against the damage caused by free radicals and oxidative stress.

Besides, it serves as an effective cooling agent -cools down the brain and CNS; reduces anxiety, depression, and lethargy; relieves emotional and mental tension.

It is an ultimate nervine tonic and relaxant; being rich in antioxidants and flavonoids, it calms and strengthens the brain and nerves.

Aggravated vata dosa makes the nervous system sensitive which leads to Insomnia (Anidra/nidranasa).

Bhramananthu Oil effectively balances the tridosas, especially vata and pitta dosas (Tarpaka kapha, Prana vayu and Sadhaka pitta). It reduces palpitation as it brings about vasodilation and thereby helps in reducing hypertension. It rejuvenates the mind due to its tridosa samana property. It paves the way to sound sleep when used on a regular basis due to its sleep-inducing effect(nidrajanana).

It also checks out giddiness (common in postural imbalances) caused by the improper functioning of nerves and thereby keeps vertigo at bay.

It has been found to be useful in several neurodegenerative conditions as well; especially affecting people of older age groups.

On the whole, Bhramananthu Oil is an ultimate remedy for those in need and with its proper usage it improves the general wellbeing of adults under stress.

INSOMNIA

Insomnia refers to a sleep disorder wherein an individual faces problem with falling asleep and remaining in a rested phase through the night. It can be acute (short term) or chronic (long term).

Types:

Insomnia can be of two types: Primary and secondary.

  • Primary insomnia:

It is a condition where lack of sleep is due to physical or emotional stress, excessive travelling or demanding work schedules and is a distinct illness of its own.

  • Secondary insomnia:

It is caused due to other underlying neurological or mental ailments or due to long term medications.

Signs and symptoms:

  • Lethargy
  • Persistent yawning
  • Irritability
  • Weakness
  • Lack of concentration

According to Ayurveda, anidra or nidra nasa occurs where there is a disequilibrium of tarpaka kapha, prana vayu and sadhaka pitta.

When there is Vatakopa, the nervous system becomes sensitive leading to insomnia and which further leads to depression, worry, anxiety, etc.

VERTIGO

Vertigo/Giddiness is a condition caused by the disturbance of the sense of equilibrium and movements.

The maintenance of equilibrium depends upon the coordination of information from various parts of the vestibular apparatus, muscles joints, tendons, visual source as well as cutaneous touch receptors. If there is interference with coordination of information in the brainstem and cerebellum, vertigo is experienced.

Causes:

  • Lesions of ear
  • Systemic causes like hypertension, hypotension, etc.
  • Neurological lesions
  • Metabolic disorders
  • Anaemia
  • Ophthalmic lesions
  • Cervical spondylosis

Of these, Bhramananthu oil has been found to be effective in vertigo/giddiness caused due to imbalance of ears.

IMBALANCE OF EARS

A balanced state of body is the resultant of the coordinated activities of many bodily systems primarily the sensory system & nervous system. It needs the proper functioning of eyes, nerves, bones, muscles, joints, the balance organ in the inner ear, heart and blood vessels.  These work hand by hand to establish a normal balance and coordination.

Signs and symptoms:

  • Unsteadiness/ loss of balance
  • Feels like falling or about to fall
  • Sense of motion or spinning feel (vertigo)
  • A stage of light headedness or fainting (presyncope)
  • Dizziness or a floating feel
  • Temporary visual difficulties such as difficulty in opening eyes and blurring
  • Difficulty in orientation due to a confused state

Causes:

Inner ear problems or inner ear infections. Eg: Meniere’s disease, Labrynthitis.

Changes in the connecting nerves of the inner ear and the way the brain perceives the signals from the inner ear.

Systemic disorders for eg: thyroid problems, metabolic disorders like diabetes.

Problems with blood circulation as in Cardiac arrhythmia or hypotension.

Vertigo, dizziness and balance problems are usually the presenting symptoms of many health conditions related with inner ear, systemic disorders and certain metabolic disorders. Bhramananthu oil helps in reducing the intensity of these symptoms due to its neuroprotective properties. The anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial elements help in mitigating the infectious conditions of the ear. As it is processed with herbs possessing Vatahara and Kaphahara properties, it becomes useful in numerous conditions affecting the organs above the neck region including the head. It has an action like free radical scavenging since it is rich in antioxidants and flavonoids, thereby helps in boosting the immune response. It protects the brain from ischemia, improves the nervous functions. It has a calming and rejuvenating effect on the body and helps in normalising the physiological state of a person.
